England Coast Path

Away from towns and villages, you will usually find the England Coast Path has natural, unmade surfaces with some parts that may be muddy in wet weather. Closer to where people live you might find smooth-surfaced paths; in towns and villages, the walk may take you on promenades or pavements alongside roads. For England Coast Path maps, see under the heading England Coast Map at the end of this article.
