Since opening Grantley Hall Luxury Hotel & Wellness Retreat in 2019 after a superb £70million renovation and the appointment of Shaun Rankin, Grantley Hall has received an array of awards. 2023’s Michelin star award is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the team to achieve the highest accolade in the culinary world in such a short space of time.
Originally from Yorkshire, Shaun Rankin mastered his skills at The Mayfair Hotel in London, moving to Jersey at Longueville Manor and then Simas, where he worked as head chef, before leaving to start Bohemia which became the first 4 AA Rosette restaurant in the Channel Islands which then gained a Michelin Star. Shaun then opened Ormer in the capital St Helier which was awarded a Michelin star within four months after opening.
The Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall restaurant showcases locally grown and sourced ingredients with herbs and vegetables grown in Kitchen Garden. Open for lunch and dinner, using the best raw ingredients from hand-picked local suppliers, the restaurant offers superb quality organic meat from farms in the vicinity, speciality cheeses from across Yorkshire and fresh seafood from the nearby magnificent Yorkshire coast.
The restaurant features bespoke handmade furniture and specially-designed crockery and glassware, carefully selected to reflect the stunning surroundings.

Note: Grantley Hall has two entrances – the main entrance is at East Lodge opposite the River Skell on the B6265. If you are travelling from the west (via Pateley Bridge or Harrogate), your satellite navigation system may direct you to take a left turning off the B6265 towards Grantley Village. This will bring you to the service entrance at West Lodge. We advise you to continue following the B6265 until you reach the East Lodge entrance on the left. Valet parking is offered to all residential guests.

Fletchers Restaurant lies within the Queen Anne wing of Grantley Hall and is the perfect place to enjoy sophisticated but casual, all-day dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You’ll appreciate the traditional oak panelling, historic fireplaces and the parkland setting. The menus comprise of British and European cuisine, made with the finest locally sourced seasonal produce and designed by Head Chef, Craig Atchinson, and his team.
